Plan Your Visit

Each week we seek to worship God in a way that is Biblically rooted, historically informed, Spirit filled, and Gospel focused. We value the ways that generations of Christians before us have worshipped God and incorporated certain forms and structure into our worship. We recognize the danger of dry, formal worship, and pray for God to energize our worship by His Spirit. We sing songs both old and new. We confess our faults and our faith. We pray corporately. We take the Lord’s Supper. We read the Bible and give priority to expository preaching that centers on the Gospel. We believe God shows up every Sunday to work in our lives and strengthen our faith as we worship Him.

We have three options for children during our service time. First, we offer a nursery / childcare area for children 0-5 during the service. Second, for kids K-3rd grade we offer an optional time of instruction in the Bible during a portion of the service. Kids will be dismissed before the main prayer and will come back in to participate in communion with us after the sermon. Third, all children are welcome to stay in for the entire service, and we have activity bags available for these children if they wish to use them.

We are a church that values having our children in worship, and believe that they greatly benefit from participating as they are able. The noises and excitement that comes with having children in our worship is not a distraction, but a gift from God to our entire church!

We are a group of Christ-followers who look forward to spending our Sunday mornings together.  Whether it’s attending pre-service prayer, Christian Education Hour, or simply catching up before the service with coffee and a bagel, there are plenty of opportunities to connect with people.  Sojourn is a church of meaningful relationships as the Family of God and we can’t wait to meet you!
